Manual QA Engineer - Multiple Projects

We are seeking a talented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to a range of exciting web application projects. These include an HR platform (Applicant Tracking System), a Point of Sale (POS) system for the restaurant industry, a task management application, our internal candidate and employee management system, and many other initiatives. You will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly products.

Responsibilities
– Understand requirements for new features or change requests across different projects.
– Collaborate with developers to debug issues and clarify workflows.
– Conduct thorough testing based on requirements and real-world scenarios.
– Create and maintain detailed test cases for assigned tasks.
– Participate in demos and screen-sharing sessions to showcase new features.
– Report and track bugs using appropriate QA tools.

Requirements
– Previous experience in Quality Assurance or a similar role.
– Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
– Understanding of Agile development processes.
– Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Asana, or similar.
– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
– Experience with web application testing across desktop and mobile platforms.
– Basic understanding of back-end technologies (experience in back-end development is a plus).
– QA certifications (ISTQB or similar) are a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time freelance position

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour workday

  • Expected work schedule includes:

    • Start of work between 3:00–4:00 AM EST – daily task sync with the Project Manager and initial testing

    • Follow-up testing around 7:00–8:00 AM EST – retesting after bug fixes

    • Availability between 7:00–10:00 AM EST – potential calls with the team and CEO; while not daily, these calls may occur up to 3 times per week and attendance is mandatory

  • Monthly payments via Payoneer, PayPal, or cryptocurrency

  • Time off and vacation days subject to prior approval
