IT Business Analyst - POS Project

Axiom Pro is a leading US-based recruiting and outstaffing company. We are currently hiring a skilled IT Business Analyst for a long-term project with one of our trusted clients in the restaurant industry.

The client is developing an advanced Point of Sale (POS) system for restaurants, which includes:

  • Admin panel for order placement and tracking,
  • Kitchen routing for efficient order management,
  • Payment processing,
  • Table reservation and management features.

The Business Analyst will play a key role in creating technical documentation and user flows for the project, working closely with stakeholders and the development team to ensure smooth implementation of the system.

Responsibilities
– Collaborate closely with all stakeholders (external, internal, business stakeholders) to gather and clarify requirements.
– Analyze, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements based on input from stakeholders.
– Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for the development team.
– Develop and maintain user flows, use cases, and technical documentation that accurately reflect system functionality.
– Participate in regular meetings and communications to discuss requirements, clarify questions, and review progress with the development team.
– Support the development team during implementation by providing clarifications on requirements and documentation.

Requirements
Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience as an IT Business Analyst.
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications like CBAP are a plus.
Domain knowledge: Experience with POS systems, e-commerce, or other transactional systems will be considered a strong advantage.
Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis abilities.
Technical skills: Understanding of software development processes and concepts, databases, and system integrations. Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Documentation: Excellent skills in creating user stories, technical specifications, and process flows.
Communication: Strong ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting complex information in a clear and structured way.
Attention to detail: A detail-oriented mindset ensuring all requirements are thoroughly documented.
English: High proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.
