Our partner operates a certified clinical laboratory specializing in automated DNA-based molecular analysis of chronic and infectious diseases. The company is also involved in research, drug screening, clinical trials, and academic collaborations to develop complex genetic tests and pre-clinical treatments. The role involves managing and maintaining the database systems that store and process data from various laboratory tests.

Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems using Percona MySQL PXC cluster solutions with HAproxy and PMM monitoring to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and management of data related to laboratory tests.
Performance Monitoring: Utilize PMM monitoring tools to monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to optimize and improve database performance.
High Availability: Configure and manage HAproxy for high availability and load balancing of the Percona MySQL PXC cluster.
Data Security: Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive patient information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team, laboratory staff, and researchers to understand data needs and provide database solutions that support their work.
Automation: Implement and manage database automation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and data loss.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
