This organization is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments across AWS and Azure. You’ll work on a variety of business-critical solutions spanning enterprise applications, data platforms, and web-based systems. You’ll leverage cutting-edge cloud services such as EC2, VPC, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch, Control Tower, Service Catalog, and Terraform to help drive innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
– Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
– Develop and support resilient cloud architectures emphasizing security, performance, and scalability.
– Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and environment configuration to streamline operations.
– Configure and optimize key AWS services including account structures, VPCs, subnets, routing, Direct Connect, VPNs, and backup/disaster recovery solutions.
– Manage cloud cost optimization and usage monitoring to ensure efficient resource utilization.
– Create and maintain reusable Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) and golden images to accelerate deployments.
– Define, implement, and manage IAM policies and access controls using automated frameworks.
– Monitor cloud infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability of critical services.
– Support software development lifecycles by provisioning environments and resolving deployment-related issues.
– Mentor and provide training to internal teams on cloud best practices and new technologies.
– Enforce security standards and compliance requirements across cloud platforms.
– Follow change management procedures for all production system updates and infrastructure changes.
– Resolve complex infrastructure challenges, handling escalated support tickets.
– Participate in after-hours support, including maintenance windows and emergency deployments as needed.

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
– Minimum of 5 years working experience with public cloud platforms, including at least 3 years in systems or infrastructure engineering roles.
– Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially using Terraform for cloud environment provisioning and management.
– Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, and Systems Manager.
– Solid understanding of VPC peering, VPNs, security groups, multi-region deployments, and network design principles including subnetting and routing.
– Experience with automation and configuration management tools to streamline cloud operations.
– Proficient scripting skills in languages like Python or Bash for workflow automation.
– Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, for managing infrastructure code.
– Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and best practices for data storage in cloud environments.
– Experience with monitoring solutions and incident response processes in cloud settings.
– Exposure to on-premises infrastructure management, including VMware ESX/vSphere, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
– Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools like SolarWinds and experience with storage systems and hyperconverged infrastructure.
