We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Data-Driven Marketing Strategy and Innovation to join their Member Services team — an inbound contact center with significant call volumes. In this leadership role, you will oversee workforce management planning, ensure optimal resource allocation, and contribute to the success of marketing initiatives through advanced analytics and capacity planning.

Position Overview:
The Director of Data-Driven Marketing Strategy and Innovation will lead the design and implementation of marketing analytics initiatives for a designated product portfolio. This adaptable and visionary analytics leader will bridge the marketing and data science domains, using their expertise in campaign execution, direct mail, digital strategies, customer segmentation, and process automation to drive data-informed decisions.
An essential part of the role involves supporting organizational transformation by promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making, leading innovation initiatives, and applying cutting-edge analytics technologies. The director will manage a dynamic team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts.

Responsibilities
Strategic Data Planning: Craft and execute a data analytics roadmap aligned with product and corporate objectives.
Predictive Analytics: Oversee the development of segmentation, targeting, and propensity models to maximize marketing efficiency.
Campaign Analytics: Drive comprehensive campaign analysis across all marketing channels, define KPIs, and enhance ROI through continuous optimization.
Cross-functional Partnership: Act as the strategic bridge between technical and marketing teams, converting data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of data professionals within an innovative environment.
Data Systems: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and sustain secure, scalable data pipelines.
Testing and Experimentation: Establish frameworks for controlled experiments (A/B tests) to refine customer experiences and optimize marketing initiatives.
Performance Monitoring: Create insightful reports and dashboards to track product and business performance indicators.
Automation Initiatives: Identify and implement automation opportunities, including the use of generative AI, to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
Innovation Leadership: Proactively research emerging tools and trends, implementing forward-thinking solutions that drive growth and organizational transformation.

Requirements

Required:
– Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
– At least 10 years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or a related discipline.
– Extensive background in marketing analytics, direct mail, and digital marketing, combined with strong leadership skills.
– Proficient in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
– Direct experience optimizing digital marketing efforts, designing experiments, applying AI/ML models, and attributing media performance.
– Advanced training in non-parametric methods, Bayesian statistics, or resampling techniques for small datasets.
– Familiarity with sequential testing and multi-armed bandit methodologies for optimizing marketing decisions.
– High proficiency in Python, SQL, and marketing platforms such as DataRobot, Adobe Campaigns, Databricks, and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
– Skilled with cloud-based marketing technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
– Deep understanding of automation tools, including RPA and AI-driven process enhancements.
– Strong communication abilities for presenting complex ideas to executive and non-technical audiences.

Preferred:
– Background in life insurance, financial services, or related industries.
– Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI technologies in marketing functions.
– Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams within matrixed organizations.
– Familiarity with customer journey mapping and customer lifetime value analysis.
