We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and work with our partner – a biotechnology company operating certified clinical laboratories and developing data-driven solutions. The role combines manual testing (around 30%), regression test automation, unit testing and team-lead responsibilities to ensure quality and timely delivery of laboratory systems used in biotechnology and healthcare projects.
Responsibilities
– Analyse requirements for new features or change requests, including related database updates
– Design, implement and maintain regression test automation suites and unit test.
– Perform manual testing (~30%) according to requirements and scenarios
– Write and run SQL queries to prepare or check test data
– Support developers by reproducing and debugging issues
– Create and maintain test case documentation
– Provide demos of new features or test coverage on group calls when required
– Mentor junior QA engineers and introduce best practices
– Act as a senior QA/lead within the testing stream: set priorities, track progress and report risks
Requirements
– 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including hands-on automation
– Solid experience in regression test automation and unit testing frameworks
– Leadership or mentoring experience (team lead or senior level)
– Strong SQL skills (intermediate+)
– Understanding of back-end technologies; back-end development experience is a plus
– Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira, Confluence or Asana
– Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
– Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
– QA certifications (e.g. ISTQB) are a plus
