We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our team and collaborate with our partner – a biotechnology company operating certified clinical laboratories and developing innovative data-driven solutions. The role is focused on manual testing with SQL to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of laboratory systems used in biotechnology and healthcare projects.
Responsibilities
– Review and understand requirements for new features or change requests, including related database updates
– Support developers by debugging and explaining correct workflows when needed
– Execute manual testing based on requirements and additional scenarios
– Write and run SQL queries to create or retrieve test data
– Create and maintain test case documentation for assigned tasks
– Provide demos of new features on group calls when required
Requirements
– Previous experience in Quality Assurance or a similar field
– Working knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and concepts
– Strong experience with SQL for creating and understanding queries
– Understanding of back-end technologies; exposure to back-end development is a plus
– Experience working in Agile teams
– Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana
– Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and documentation skills
– Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
– QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
