Our client, a US-based logistics company specializing in transportation, supply chain, and warehouse management, is seeking a highly qualified Accountant to join their team as an Onsite Bookkeeper in Manalapan, NJ.
Responsibilities
– Maintain accurate and complete accounting records of all financial transactions, including purchases, sales invoices, expenses, and receipts.
– Update and reconcile the general ledger on a regular basis.
– Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, paying bills, and collecting payments from customers.
– Reconcile bank statements and ensure they match the company's financial records.
– Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours, deductions, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
– Close the general ledger at the end of each accounting period.
– Help prepare tax returns (may vary by company).
– Generate financial reports to assist management in making informed business decisions.
– Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
– Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred).
– Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
– Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Excel.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
