Bookkeeper - QuickBooks Specialist

Our client is an online optical store seeking an experienced Bookkeeper – QuickBooks Expert to manage and optimize their financial operations. The role demands precision, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of bookkeeping practices to ensure seamless financial management.

Responsibilities
– Accurately record and manage all transactions in QuickBooks, including sales, expenses, assets, liabilities, and bank transactions.
– Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
– Set up and maintain bank and credit card accounts in QuickBooks.
– Perform regular reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.
– Process weekly payroll using ADP, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments.
– Handle payroll taxes, contributions, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
– Monitor and manage cash flow effectively to ensure timely bill payments and invoicing.
– Provide insights into cash flow trends and suggest improvements.
– Maintain and optimize the Chart of Accounts to align with General Ledger categories.
– Use QuickBooks features like Bank Rules for efficient transaction categorization and project profitability tracking.
– Develop and deliver detailed financial reports, including profitability analyses and customer-specific cost breakdowns.
– Provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
– Identify and rectify financial discrepancies or errors in records.
– Implement streamlined processes for long-term financial stability and efficiency.
– Ensure compliance with all tax, payroll, and financial regulations.
– Maintain organized, accurate, and accessible financial records.

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with e-commerce or retail businesses.
– Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online).
– Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP and related compliance regulations.
– Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to identify financial discrepancies.
– Effective communication and reporting skills.
– Experience working with online stores or e-commerce businesses (preferred).
– Familiarity with global payroll and compliance practices (preferred).
– Understanding of financial systems and integration with sales platforms (preferred).
